Do you want to move through life more simply and without discomfort? Mobility exercises can help. If you're active and exercising regularly, the reason you may not be reaching your goals isn't for lack of activity but rather lack of mobility. Mobility exercises can improve joints and increase your range-of-motion. They make you more flexible, which will help you move better.
Watch a therapeutic yoga instructor demonstrate chair-based joint mobility exercises that'll help your joints.
Mobility exercises involve gentle movements, such as straightening and bending the arms at the elbow joint or rolling your shoulders forward, up, back, and down. These exercises can be done quickly and easily, in a small space, sitting in a chair, and without any equipment. You can do one exercise at a time or put them together into a full-body mobility session. It's important to listen to your body throughout.
