My HealtheVet can help Veterans view upcoming appointments, schedule new appointments, cancel appointments, and join video visits using VA Online Scheduling.

Effective March 23rd, Veterans will be temporarily unable to self-schedule VA appointments or request community care appointments through VA Online Scheduling in order to stop the spread of illness and avoid non-critical, in-person appointments. Some VA facilities may continue to allow Veterans to request VA appointments. Veterans are still able to join video visits, view appointments, and cancel VA appointments through VAOS. To schedule a VA appointment, please call the VA health facility where you wish to receive care or send a secure message to your provider through My HealtheVet. Call before you visit VA. If you are worried about COVID-19 symptoms or have concerns about your VA services and benefits, ask a question of the VA coronavirus chatbot or review the Frequently Asked Questions. If you have an appointment, consider making it a telehealth appointment.
 
My HealtheVet offline for maintenance: Saturday, July 11 from 10:00 p.m. to Sunday, July 12 at 1:00 a.m. (ET).

Upgrading to Premium:

To help prevent the spread of the coronavirus at VA Medical Centers, Veterans will temporarily not be able to upgrade their My HealtheVet accounts in person. Take advantage of getting a Premium account online through ID.me or Premium DS Logon and avoid a trip to the VAMC. Learn more below.

How to Schedule a VA Health Appointment

  1. Phone: You can call the VA health facility where you want to receive care to make an appointment. Find your VA health facility's phone number.

  2. Online: You may be able to schedule or cancel appointments online send a secure message to your provider to schedule an appointment, as determined by your facility.

VA Facilities Using the Online Scheduling Tool

VAOS is live at all sites except for:

  • Columbus, OH

    • Veterans who receive care at the Chalmers P. Wylie Ambulatory Care Center (Columbus, Ohio) can schedule, reschedule, and cancel their appointments online using MyChart Online, available as part of the Medical Appointment Scheduling System (MASS).
