Viewing your VA Medication Names
Did you know My HealtheVet users can order VA prescriptions by medication name instead of by prescription number? Just complete a simple, one-time Authentication process when you visit your VA facility. This process is used to verify a My HealtheVet user's identity. Then you can order your refill online** using the name of the drug.
Melvin Marks, a VA patient from Charleston, South Carolina, has been using My HealtheVet since 2004. He completed the Authentication Process so he could see his medication names. He said, "The best thing for me is I do not have to look up my numbers anymore. Now I order my medications by looking at the names."
Ordering medications by name requires completing Authentication. VA patients who have completed Authentication see both their medication names and numbers. In addition, they see their VA Wellness Reminders. As other personal features become available for VA patients, Authenticated users will be able to use them. So do not delay. Complete the Authentication process the next time you visit your VA facility.
Where do I refill my prescriptions?
- Logon My HealtheVet with your registered User ID and password
- Click the Pharmacy tab
- Prescription options will appear
