Schedule an appointment by phone

If you do not yet have access to the online scheduling tool, you can still call your facility to schedule an appointment. The fastest way to schedule a VA appointment is usually to call the VA health facility directly where you want to receive care. Find your VA facility's phone number.

Manage appointments online

You can cancel an appointment through VA Online Scheduling (VAOS). You may be able to schedule VA appointments or video visits online, as determined by your facility, through VAOS. You may be able to schedule appointments and video visits for the below types of care:

  • Primary Care

  • Mental Health

  • Amputation Services

  • Audiology

  • Clinical Pharmacy - Primary Care

  • CPAP Clinic*

  • Food and Nutrition

  • MOVE!

  • Ophthalmology**

  • Optometry

  • Sleep Medicine - Home Sleep Testing*

  • Social Work

VA now offers online appointment scheduling for some appointments. You can schedule your VA appointments online if:

  • You have a My HealtheVet Premium Account or DS Logon Premium Account.

Effective March 23rd, Veterans will be temporarily unable to self-schedule VA appointments or request community care appointments through VA Online Scheduling in order to stop the spread of illness and avoid non-critical, in-person appointments. Some VA facilities may continue to allow Veterans to request VA appointments. Veterans are still able to join video visits, view appointments, and cancel VA appointments through VAOS. To schedule a VA appointment, please call the VA health facility where you wish to receive care or send a secure message to your provider through My HealtheVet. Upgrading to Premium:

To help prevent the spread of the coronavirus at VA Medical Centers, Veterans will temporarily not be able to upgrade their My HealtheVet accounts in person. Take advantage of getting a Premium account online through ID.me or Premium DS Logon and avoid a trip to the VAMC. Learn more below.
