Access VA Care from Home

Protect Yourself from the Coronavirus

A Veteran having their appointment through VA Video ConnectVA is committed to providing high-quality care while keeping Veterans safe from the coronavirus. Here are some ways to prevent coronavirus exposure or transmission by accessing VA care from home:

  • Telephone or Video Appointments: Rather than going to a VA facility, you can receive care at home - either over the phone or via video using VA Video Connect on your computer, smartphone, or tablet. To set up telephone or video appointments, sign in to send them a secure message on My HealtheVet. Learn more about VA Video Connect.

  • Prescription Refills: Request prescription refills and order and ship medications to your home using when you sign in to My HealtheVet or download the Rx Refill mobile app.

  • Secure Messaging: With My HealtheVet, VA's online patient portal, you can sign in and send secure messages online to your VA health care team to ask them non-urgent health questions.

  • Home Telehealth: For Veterans recommended for home isolation or quarantine, your provider may use telehealth technology (i.e., additional devices) to monitor your condition while you're at home. Learn more about Home Telehealth.
