Connected Care, VFW Hosted Facebook Live Event on Friday, October 11

Veterans of Foreign Wars joined VA's Office of Connected Care for a Facebook Live event - Delivering Care to Rural Veterans When and Where It's Needed.

Nearly 3 million Veterans enrolled in VA health care live in rural communities throughout the United States. While Veterans may enjoy the benefits of rural living, they may also experience rural health care challenges and geographical barriers to getting the care they need. This Facebook Live event detailed how Connected Care tools and technologies, including My HealtheVet, Telehealth and Mobile technologies, are making a difference.

VA experts Dr. Leonie Heyworth, Director of Synchronous Telemedicine, and Dr. Thomas Klobucar, Executive Director Office of Rural Health, together with Ryan Gallucci, VFW Director, National Veterans Service, hosted the event on VFW's Facebook page.
