Conveniently request VA appointments through any mobile device
Sometimes making and managing appointments to fit your schedule can be tough. There are long lines or hold times, and too many details to remember. VA Online Scheduling is here to make the process easier for you from start to finish. Whether you're scheduling a routine doctor's visit or seeking a specialty appointment, VA Online Scheduling can get you there in a few easy steps.
Using online scheduling
Depending on your VA Medical Center, VA Online Scheduling may help you:
Schedule a variety of appointment types
Request assistance from a VA scheduler for an online appointment
View upcoming appointments, including joining any scheduled Video Visits
Types of care
You may be eligible for care through a non-VA provider in your local community depending on your health care needs, and if you meet specific eligibility criteria. Even if you are eligible for Veteran Community Care, you generally still have the option to receive care from a VA medical facility.
In most cases, you must receive approval from VA before receiving care from a community provider to avoid being billed for it. Emergency care does not require advance approval.
You can schedule and request appointments at VA and participating health centers for the following:
Outpatient Mental Health
MOVE! Weight Management Program
Nutrition and Food Services
Your VA Medical Center may not offer every service; check with your health care team on what is available from VA, or possibly from Community Care.
Text Message Reminders to Confirm or Cancel
VEText is a text messaging program from your VA Medical Center that will send you a couple of reminders before each appointment. It will let you confirm or cancel an appointment. Most Veteran patients are automatically enrolled in VEText.
