Move Forward, Stay on Track this Winter
The holiday season can mean great food, fun and family time. But it can also mean long days of travel and more stress. Do you have a diet you want to stick to, or are you trying to meet long-term goals like exercising regularly or saving money? It can be hard to manage realistic goals and not get distracted with holiday obligations and responsibilities.
VA has a free online mobile application (app) that can help you stay on track and manage your stress levels. It's called Moving Forward and it helps Veterans, Service members, caregivers, and family members meet their goals. The app includes quizzes, relaxation exercises, and tips on problem solving. It can help you balance school and family, deal with relationship problems, make decisions, cope with physical injuries, survive financial problems and more.
"A lot of the exercises help calm me down and get a better understanding of my situation. I started to feel more in control of my thoughts and feelings," said one Veteran who took the course.
Use Moving Forward to determine what kind of problem-solver you are and get tips on solving stressful challenges. These tips might be just what you need to kick start a new exercise routine or finally quit smoking.
