Eating Wisely involves moderation, balance and variety. You may have heard the saying that "make healthy food choices" (PDF) by selecting from a wide variety of vegetables, fruits, whole grains, meats, poultry, seafood, eggs, beans, peas, nuts, seeds, and dairy. Be sure to read about the many benefits of change related to improved eating habits.
Even though we believe that "all foods can fit" we recognize that "one size does not fit all." To get started with a healthy eating plan, take a few minutes and visit the ChooseMyPlate.gov site to determine the foods and amounts that are right for you. ChooseMyPlate offers personalized eating plans and interactive tools to help you build a healthy plate at meal times and to assess your food choices based on the Dietary Guidelines for Americans.
