Disconnect Accounts Help

You are able to disconnect external accounts you have connected to your My HealtheVet account. For example, this may include DS LOGON or 3rd party credentials. When you Disconnect your external accounts, all external accounts connected with your My HealtheVet account (e.g., DS LOGON or other 3rd party credentials) get disconnected.

When you disconnect your accounts, it will not change or delete them. Your accounts can be accessed by logging into the individual websites. You can always re-connect accounts you have disconnected.

To access Disconnect Accounts:

  • On the My HealtheVet homepage, select the Personal Information tab at the top of the page

  • Select Account

  • Select the link, Disconnect Accounts

On the Disconnect Your External Accounts page are two action buttons:

  1. Submit: Select this button to disconnect all your external accounts from your My HealtheVet account. For example, DS LOGON or other 3rd party credentials. When you select Submit, a message box will display*.

  2. Cancel: Select this button to stop the Disconnect. When you select this, it takes you back to the My HealtheVet Personal Information page.

*When you select Submit, the following alert message is displayed: Are you sure you want to Disconnect Your Accounts? This is to confirm you want to disconnect your external accounts from My HealtheVet. Select one of the two action buttons:

Note: If you select the Yes button and you do not have any external accounts connected to your My HealtheVet account, this message will display: At this time you do not have any external accounts connected to your My HealtheVet account.

  1. Yes: Select this button to disconnect all your external accounts from your My HealtheVet account.

  2. Cancel: Select this button if you do not wish to disconnect your accounts. When you select this, it will take you back to the Disconnect Your External Accounts page.
