Account Activity History (AAL) Summary

The Account Activity History Summary allows My HealtheVet registered users to monitor their account activity. You can see who accessed the account or made a change, what change was made and when, what information was accessed and when, and the type of action that was performed. My HealtheVet monitors account activity performed by the users, My HealtheVet authenticators, and My HealtheVet Help Desk staff.

In addition, Account Activity History allows VHA to maintain user activity records in conformance with applicable compliance requirements of HIPAA privacy and security rules.

Account Activity Summary

Printer Friendly Screen - The Printer Friendly screen provides a printer-friendly format for the information, designed to print neatly on an 8-1/2 by 11 inch sheet of paper. The information on this page consists of the entries displayed on the previous screen. A border, indicated by the phrase "The printable information appears within this border," outlines the main content area.

View Activities within a Date Range - Select a date range from the drop-down lists for the desired range of dates, or select the Jump to Date icon Calendar Thumbnailto select a date from the pop-up calendar. You can view activities for the past twelve months. The default time range is the past year.

Performed by - Select from the drop-down list:

  • Everyone (default setting)
  • Everyone but Self
  • Help Desk Administrator
  • MHV Authenticator
  • Self
  • System
  • Unknown

Search - Select the Search button to display the Account Activity History by selected user or time range. The columns for Date/Time, Performed By, Activity, Action, or Result can be sorted in ascending or descending order. Select on a triangle up down arrow Thumbnail to sort a column.

Date/Time (CST - Central Standard Time) - My HealtheVet servers are located in the Eastern Time Zone. The Account Activity History displays in Eastern Standard Time. To convert your time to EST, use the links below.

Performed By - This column displays the user who accessed the account.

  • Unknown

Activity - This column displays the activity that was performed when the account was accessed.

Action - The Action listed is dependent on the Activity displayed in the Activity column.

Result - The result of the action is either Successful or Unsuccessful (for example, if an invalid password or invalid data was entered, your Login would show Unsuccessful).

Number of Items Displayed - The summary page displays 10 rows. When there are more than 10 rows, you may choose from the drop down menu to display 25, 50, or 100 rows on one page.
