    Veteran Debbi Desisto has lost 44 pounds and is committed to sticking with it through the MOVE! program. She attends MOVE! and other classes offered at her VA, such as yoga. At home, she stays on track by keeping a food log and engaging with the daily TeleMOVE! Messages.

    Debbi is exceeding the physical activity goal for weight management by being active for more than 400 minutes per week! She says, "I feel better, and I'm able to do more things."

    Veteran Linda Price tried many other weight loss programs but only met success through MOVE! The tool that helped Linda was short-term goal setting, which allowed her to achieve her long-term success. She said that she understood that small steps must be taken to achieve sustainable weight loss.

    Veteran Judson Carter completed his weight loss journey by attending MOVE! group sessions and participating in TeleMOVE! He said, "The TeleMOVE! Program in Ann Arbor helped me stay accountable, and I continued on to obtain my weight loss goal." TeleMOVE! allows Veterans to interact with MOVE! information and VA staff from home, using inhome messaging devices and other tools. Attending the group sessions at the Medical Center isn't always necessary.

    He followed guidance provided by MOVE! and has been free from diabetes for five years. He said, "at 62, I have not felt this great since after USMC boot camp at Marine Corps Recruit Depot! MOVE! is the best resource available! I recommend this program to all Veterans who struggle with weight issues. MOVE! provided me with the information. It is up to you to begin and stick with the lifestyle changes."

Veterans enrolled in TeleMOVE! can share their progress and report information to their VA Care Coordinator in various ways, including, over the telephone, through a secure internet website, video technology, or a home device. They can also stay in contact by using the MOVE! Coach mobile app.

Veterans with a Premium My HealtheVet account can also use Secure Messaging (sign in required) to get tips throughout their journey or send non-urgent questions and comments to their care coordinator and other members of their health care team.
