Health Administration Center (HAC) is the Health Care Center for Dependents, and home to the following VA Health Care Programs:
This healthcare benefits program is for:
- Dependents of veterans who have been rated by VA as having a total and permanent disability.
- Survivors of veterans who died from VA-rated service-connected conditions, or who at the time of death, were rated permanently and totally disabled from a VA-rated service-connected condition.
- Survivors of persons who died in the line of duty and not due to misconduct. Under CHAMPVA, VA shares the cost of covered healthcare services and supplies with eligible beneficiaries.
Spina Bifida Healthcare Benefits
This program is designed for Vietnam veteran's birth children diagnosed with spina bifida and who are in receipt of a VA regional office award for spina bifida benefits. Under this program, VA assumes financial responsibility for all needed health care for Veterans' birth children diagnosed with spina bifida.
Foreign Medical Program (FMP)
A healthcare benefits program designed for US veterans with VA-rated service-connected conditions who are residing or traveling abroad (Canada and Philippines excluded). Under FMP, VA assumes payment responsibility for certain necessary medical services associated with the treatment of those service-connected conditions.
Children of Women Vietnam Veterans (PDF)
This is a healthcare benefits program designed for children of women Vietnam veterans diagnosed with certain birth defects and who are in receipt of a VA regional office award for these birth defects. Under this program, VA assumes financial responsibility for medical services and supplies related to the treatment of the specified birth defects including complications and associated conditions.
